what your pediatrician won't tell you may surprise you
The following is opinion and not meant to be medical advice.
Okay, now that that is clear. Lets get into it. When I was a new mom, I had learned so much about natural childbirth and breastfeeding through books and documentaries. I realized how broken our healthcare system was when it came to maternal care in hospitals. However, I still had trust in allopathic medicine. If you don't know what allopathic medicine is, please stop and look it up, and then come back. I wasn't satisfied with the first few pediatricians though. I remember one time being prescribed an antibiotic "just in case", for an ear infection; and I wasn't on board with it. Neither was I on board with their recommendations for feeding rice cereal. (I did at least know that allopathic doctors have VERY LITTLE nutrition education). Not until I found Dr. M. He was trained by Dr. Weil in Arizona, the practice was touted as holistic and natural minded families brought their children there. I remember one day at a well baby visit, I was hesitant about the vaccines. As a full time working mom I had little time for independant research. I asked the doc, "what would you do?". And that was that. I outsourced the health decision of my child to the "professional".
The point of this is not for me to tell you everything I learned through the independant research I DID end up doing on vaccines, germ theory, terrain theory, and viruses. The point is that sometimes we outsource our health choices to other people who we think are "smarter" then we are. I am here to tell you, you are enough. If you are reading this, you are smart enough to read a research paper summary, a book, and use your own discernment. It is then and only then you can take full responsibility for your choices and the outcomes.
