I believe birth is an extremely important part of a woman's life. Her experience can cause trauma or it can be empowering. When she feels safe and loved and her voice is heard she will feel like she can do anything! My desire as a birth doula is to guide my clients into acheiving the birth they want. Birth is very unpredictable but learning how to nagivate your choices and owning those choices helps you feel in control, even when things don't go as planned.
When you hire me as your doula you will have a caring friend. Agape is greek for love. Not romantic love, but unconditional love, like our Creator has given us. I won't judge you for your choices, but I want you to know you have the power of your consent. I want to help you create the birth YOU desire. My Philosophy
Women's bodies were created for growing and birthing babies. I believe in quality nutrition and exercise during pregnancy and supporting normal physiological childbirth when possible. Women are capable of birthing their baby their way with little intervention from others. I believe in allowing a woman to trust her own intuition and let nature take over. Allopathic medicine should allow the mother to choose every intervention SHE is comfortable with. Medical intervention is great in certain circumstances, but only when medically needed or desired by the birthing woman.
